Princess Alexandra visits Anchor’s latest luxury retirement village Bishopstoke Park in Hampshire

Bishopstoke Park will offer over 210 independent and assisted living apartments set in beautiful woodland with state-of-the art facilities as well as a 48-room integrated care home on site staffed by highly trained professionals.

Princess Alexandra, patron of the Anchor Trust, England’s largest not-for-profit provider of housing and care for older people, visited the development which is the newest scheme in Anchor’s portfolio, last week before it opens officially in September.

The initial design of Bishopstoke Park was developed by award-winning Gloucestershire-based architects Tyack, which has a track record in residential designs, including Poundbury, Prince Charles’s model village.

“By blending charming restoration with cutting-edge architecture, we’ve created a retirement village that is inspired by its past and perfect for our residents future needs. Bishopstoke-Park-4

“Princess Alexandra’s visit marks an important milestone for us, the delivery of our first retirement village in 10 years and our first that has had such demand for luxurious hotel-style facilities.

“We are due to launch another retirement village in Yateley later this year, which will deliver another 110 homes for an increasingly discerning ageing population.”

Bishopstoke Park is a short walk from the historic village of Bishopstoke, with shops, community post office, two churches and a local pub.

The village is also a convenient drive from Winchester and Southampton, with rail services into London and international connections from Southampton airport.
