Adlington Retirement Living’s new retirement community will be hosting a series of coffee mornings over the coming weeks for those looking to retire in style
On the north bank of the River Mersey in the metropolitan borough of Stockport lies the friendly suburb of Heaton Mersey which is home to The Woodlands.

The first coffee morning will take place on Wednesday 15 February.

Bess, who moved to The Woodlands in June, enthuses: “We all get on so well. I do quite a few of the activities here. I take part in keep fit twice a week. We have coffee mornings. We have card games.
“Some of my neighbours are learning to crochet and we’re knitting squares to make into blankets to send to places that need them. I’m in the book club too. It’s lovely.”
The communal facilities at The Woodlands include an open-plan coffee bar, a perfect spot to catch up with friends and neighbours, or meet for pre-lunch drinks on the way to the restaurant.
It also has a drinks bar where homeowners can enjoy a glass of wine or beer with friends in the evening.
There is also a restaurant and homeowners’ lounge, as well as a hair salon, therapy suite and activities studio.
