McCarthy & Stone has partnered with the supermarket chain Morrisons to offer homeowners a new order-by-phone delivery service

There’s no doubt that just popping to the shops for food and essentials is difficult in a pandemic — especially if you are in a vulnerable category.

And while some people choose to do their shopping online, it’s not the answer for those who struggle with technology.

McCarthy & Stone puts a lot of thought into ensuring that its developments are great places to live in retirement and that includes finding solutions to any challenges their homeowners have.

That’s why it has chosen to partner with Morrisons, working with them to tailor Morrisons’ easy-to-use telephone ordering service so that it suits the people living in its retirement developments.

The service offers homeowners free next-day delivery and even a free bunch of flowers with their first order.

Benefiting homeowners

The doorstep delivery service is available to all of McCarthy & Stone’s 20,000 plus homeowners.

Customers simply place their order over the phone and their groceries are delivered the next day.

And after the success of McCarthy & Stone’s Buddy scheme, there are plans to introduce a new volunteer app so that homeowners, employees and family members can find out about volunteering opportunities across the developments.
