A new extra-care scheme in West London offers shared-ownership apartments for sale

Set within its own grounds and close to the river Thames, Bridgewater House in Hounslow is offering 36 one-and-two-bedroom apartments for people aged over 50 who need assisted-living support.

Four of the apartments are available to buy through shared ownership priced from £91,250 for 25 per cent share of a one-bedroom flat.

The rest are available to rent through refferal from Hounslow council.

Situated within the gated Fitzroy Gate development in Isleworth, Bridgewater House is designed for people with mobility and sensory issues.

It has level floors and a dementia-friendly design throughout with care and support staff on site 24-hours a day.

The self-contained one-and-two-bedroom apartments are fitted with a kitchen-dining room, a wet room with level-access shower and telecare and pull cord services. They also have balconies with views across Fitzroy Gate.

Extra facilities include an activities room, communal lounge with doors leading to a patio garden and a guest suite.

Chief Executive Grahame Hindes of care-providers Octavia, which have developed the scheme with house builders St James, said: “We specialise in providing good quality homes for people with complex needs. We also specialise in promoting stimulating, active and independent living for older people.”
